2026 Canadian Go Open

The 49th Canadian Go Open is coming to Toronto at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) from June 27–30, 2026. The main competition runs June 27–29 with six rounds of play, culminating on June 29 with the final round and evening banquet. Pair Go will take place throughout the event, with the final Pair Go games and additional activities held on June 30, including a group hike and other physical activities.

This year’s Open features a first-place prize exceeding $1,500 (scaling with registration) and special guest professional Yoonyoung Kim, who will be hosting pro activities and review sessions throughout the event. The game recorders are busy capturing the matches, so we aren’t sure of the exact streaming schedule. However, the streaming team mentioned there would be coverage, so you can check Twitch ( usgoweb - Twitch ) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@USGOWeb) to see if a live broadcast is running. If you miss it, be sure to check the YouTube channel later, as the streams will only be saved as VODs there and not on Twitch.
