25 kyu 9x9 review request

Hello!

I’ve been trying to improve on 9x9 board and understand good shapes and positions.

On one of my recent games: v_blackbird7 vs. magnummalum

I had this shape on turn 20:

I thought this shape is safe, however while playing in local club, my opponent destroyed it by playing around the connecting stone (circled). First move on the right, and if I try to surround it, second stone goes to left. So I can capture the first stone, but the second will live and can try to form something.

In the game I linked, opponent haven’t tried to do this. I wonder - if this shape is considered bad, and what are better options for situations like turn (13) - where I need to connect two groups, but direct connection is blocked

Also, I do not understand, why AI thinks move (20) loses 20 points. On my level it looks like I am holding the upper right corner and save 3-4 points with this move, while the suggested move only protects 2-3 points:

Thank you for your help!
