48th Keizer Karel tournament March 16-17 2024
On Saturday March 16 and Sunday March 17 the Nijmeegse Go Club will host the Keizer Karel Go Tournament at the Ark van Oost (Cipresstraat 154, Nijmegen, Netherlands).
Tournament info
• 5 rounds McMahon. 60 minutes. Komi is 6,5. Byo-yomi is 20 seconds per move or 20 moves in 5 minutes.
• Prizes available for the top 3 and those who win 4 or 5 games.
• Registration via E.Brummelkamp@chello.nl
Please supply your name, city / country and rank.
• Entrance fee is 20 euro when you register and pay before March 15. If you register later it is 25 euro. If you are younger than 25 years, you get a 5 euro discount (15 euro in preregistration and 20 euro otherwise)
• Confirmation of registration: players are required to show up on Saturday between 10:30-11:30.
• Lunch is included in entrance fee. There is also an indoor bar (drinks, little snacks) present. Supermarket and cafetaria are at walking distance.
• Public transportation: from Centraal Train Station take line 8 (Beek, Berg en Dal) and get out at busstop Hengstdalseweg / Broerdijk)
• IMPORTANT: on Sunday the third round starts at 9:30. Don’t be late please!

Diehards
And for the real diehards there is also an opportunity to play go already on the Friday before the tournament in Cafe de Kroon from 15:30~18:00. Cafe de Kroon is at walking distance of the Ark van Oost. The adres of the cafe is Daalseweg 361.
