Mysteriously looking Seki

I wonder if an AI can see this kind of seki or not.

Probably difficult since it kind of looks like a double headed dragon as well

A small corner Seki it seems. (2025-01-12)

I feel like I just witnessed a literal Go miracle.

2 seki in one 13x13 game, one of which was necessary to swing the game: Amikecan Ludon

I came across one looking over recent online league games

nice one, did the ruleset end up mattering for winner due to points in seki?

Nah it was like 20 points

Another funky one from a bot game

Is that a fake seki involving a bent four?

that doesn’t look scored right, am I missing something? I don’t see any unremovable ko threats, so shouldn’t Black be able to fully kill the upper right, and then proceed to kill the 3 stones, so there’s no seki?

EDIT: oh, the seki is a ko threat. and only Black can start the upper right sequence, so Black doesn’t want to start it and let White live. but then why can’t White claim all their upper right stones are alive, so the seki is way bigger?

I don’t think the seki is a ko threat because the entire white group will be in atari when black takes the ko

oh, you’re right. I was reading fighting the inner ko first, but black should fight the outer ko first. So then can’t Black kill the whole thing?

The outer ko is trivial. Yeah it looks like a bent four dead shape which makes it a fake seki.

honestly, I can’t blame the autoscore for missing that. I’d just play it out before scoring

I don’t think you can play it out if it is Japanese scoring

it’s not, though
