I’m confused now, this photo is from the Netherlands…? It’s ganstrekken in Grevenbricht, it was in the news about a decade ago when one of the political parties (the party for the animals) tried to make it prohibited.
Well the picture has some (weird) native American reference which caught me first.
It’s only later by reading the wiki article that i learned more, like it still exist in Europe mostly and for animal lovers they use dead or fake ones now.
It’s a carnaval tradition, so most contestants are in (usually ridiculous and colourful) costumes. I think this outfit is quite likely to be seen as offensive.
It’s apparently no longer allowed to practice this ‘sport’ with actual geese, so I guess the party for the animals got what they wanted.
