Accessible Teaching

A post was split to a new topic: Dsaun Shape Lecture

Hi,
I feel like it is important again to resurrect the post.
After running a study group for about a month I have found the following things difficult:
Including Scheduling difficulties:
1)Time Zones don’t adjust
2)Attending\Not Attending is difficult to assume
3)No Calendar to display events
Format troubles:
1)Accessing the group page is not rewarding or informative
2)Events can’t have reminders
3)Limit on Group posts
And General communication troubles:
1)Group Chat are limited to who’s in the channel
2) Voice chat on OGS is not perfect
3)Difficult to get online users in Group chat.

Everything above make study groups on OGS difficult.
A good study group can quickly fail due to the limited ability to advertise itself to new users and to it’s own.
Thanks for reading.

Yes, the goal is not to have a “group” or “organized” teaching. The logistics of that will never work out, but what can be done is to identify teachers and have a directory/place people can use to reach out to them.

There are also genuinely good resources that can be used by beginners and people all the way up to 4d that I think should be collated and made easily available.

Resources without people to help explain topics/ideas and to guide people in learning is useless, so I want to combine the two by making them both easily accessible. That’s the end-goal of my idea, to just make it easy for people to get help when they need it.
