I am quite confused by all these exchanges, so I’ll focus on the most irrelevant detail 
: what does 19 mean? And why 20???
Nah, that’s the real (23). (19) was a throw-in with the aim of reducing Black’s eyespace, but perhaps it should have been at (20) or just reserved as a ko threat.
Number 23 is on a stone which was already on the board in the previous image.
When 22 pushes, the stone that connects is on the star point, isn’t it?
