I tried registering in an automatic tournament:
There were 5 players registered, it was showing a message like “starting shortly”.
Now it says “Tournament does not exist”.
Hi, what kind of tournament was it?
Live 19x19 Swiss and Blitz 13x13 Swiss are deleted after 5 minutes if they don’t have 6 players.

I am not sure, it was likely the case I guess.
Maybe it should say “not enough players” or similar instead of “starting shortly” :), better UX.

It does say that.
If a tournament doesn’t attract enough participants it waits for 5 minutes before it is cancelled. Until it is cancelled it still can “start shortly” (and it often does so, if in those 5 minutes the number of participants reaches the required number).
