AutoScore Issue

In this game, PrincessSarya vs. 晚风踏江南 the game was not scored correctly. Now Princess was using Tsumego Dragon so this might be more of a me issue. On Tsumego Dragon, at the current moment players autoaccept the score proposed, for better or worse. (I’m still fine tuning this.) Usually the auto score is reliable. When it’s not MOST opponents fix it. For some reason this 3Dan opponent didn’t :stuck_out_tongue:

More importantly though, this can be another game to test the auto scoring feature on. I do not THINK the opponent unmarked stones…I think we only saw one call of score accept. But hopefully this game will help make the auto score even more accurate.

I would also like to ask again for a forced auto score toggle in the game settings and check with AI for what the actual score is. (Though I suppose I am a minority for wanting this automated in auto matches…) If the graph is correct then shouldn’t that be used as the final result? Then the auto score just does its best to show why it is the score?

@anoek yeah seems like the autoscore didnt run at all, so every stone on the board was marked as alive. Any ideas?

This is a classic example of the Autoscore Bug, a problem since August 2020. It has been associated with certain 3rd-party apps.

OGS does autoscore on the client side. Here’s how we do it in WeiqiHub: ogs | autoscore at the start of scoring phase by benjaminpjones · Pull Request #108 · ale64bit/WeiqiHub · GitHub

Does TD hit the autoscore directly? Or does it wait to get accepted stones from the other client? What happens if there are two TD users?

Another avenue of investigation - a record of scoring events (like stones set and accepted) is saved for moderation purposes. You may be able to access these.. if not, a mod probably can.
