Hello, i was wondering if someone could teach me how to play go. I know the basics, but i would like to play some game with experienced people to get a better knowledge of the game. I am approximately 29 kyu I guess.
If you are OK with correspondence, I’m happy to play and explain as we go along.
What correspondance means?
Just a slow game, not real time. I’l send you a challenge.
Hello and welcome
If you are comfortable with the rules, I am always happy to play Also maybe specify what board-size are you looking for, so people know whether to offer or not.
So feel free to send me a correspondence challenge or add me as a friend if you want to arrange live match - to see when I am online.
Also there are many online resources for you to check out.
To a beginner I would probably recommend Nick Sibicky’s youtube channel, as you grow, you may want to switch to Dwyrin, ask or search the forums, if you want to hear more options.
Sorry i don’t really like correspondance games, like i prefer rapidly get the review when im still concentrated on it. Sorry for my bad english, I’m french ^^. I would like to play on a 19x19 board ^^
No worries, your English is good enough. And playing quick games for learning does make sense. I would suggest 9x9 to start with though, simply because those games are quicker. On 19x19 you can make many bad moves and not notice that they were bad until the end of the game, which is many, many moves later.
Good luck with your start and enjoy the journey!
Okay i see, thank you very much!
