I ran into this problem, I don’t understand how black is able to survive, is anyone able to provide a full explanation (along with image of board if possible)?

Extend the one stone that is in atari. White cannot put it in atari again on either side, because they lack liberties themselves. This pattern is called "Jin Ji Du Li" (golden chicken standing on one leg), which is a yoga position I believe. Anyhow, afterwards, no matter what white does you will win the liberty race and capture the two white stones for the second eye.

I’m not that strong but I can’t see how white can do anything after black captures the three stones.

It looks completely alive to me after black captures the 3 stones.
Maybe an error in the problem’s solution ?

This is alive, black has three and a half eyes. White doesn’t even have ko threats.
