Is there a way to block game challenges from a certain user?
I clicked the block button, but only these 3 options were available.
Ignore chats and private messages
Block user from accepting my open games
Block announcements from this person
P.S. Why is the word “user” used in the second option but the word “person” is used in the third option? And neither the word “user” nor “person” is used in the first option. It’s almost as though these three options were written by three different persons.
I think 2nd one works good(at least for me), and I kinda don’t understand your problem (sorry?)
And about user and person - I think that means that user in sense of player won’t play any games with you(kinda logical), but announcements can be done by anyone, not necessarily a player, so they are done by a person (at least how I see this)
I don’t think it would be good if we use same word for that, it would be brutal tautology, xd
P.S I rechecked with my second acc, second button works for this too, if you have any problems at this point I think that’s tech issues(?)
The second is about the user accepting my open games, but I’m talking about the game challenges sent directly from the user. I think they are different? I haven’t tried it yet.
Hmm firstly it’s using the word “user” and not “player”. Secondly, I don’t think a non-OGS user can put up announcements? You have to be a “user” first, and it cannot be done by any “person”.
Maybe the wording is a bit unclear, but my impression is that this should also prevent the user from sending you challenges. (Or at least it should stop you from being notified about it)
I meant logic that yes, indeed this is a USER, but not necessarily a player. So in that case it’s just a person(in my understanding)
When you are putting your announcement - you doing so as a person
When you are playing with someone, you are user, not a player, because there could be a few accs, not necessarily meant that by bloking you they block all of you (if you know what I mean). So user seems logical there
However that’s my vision of that, honestly idk
