Board no longer auto-scrolls on my turn

Hello,

Since the recent interface update, I have noticed an issue that affects usability.

Previously, when it became my turn, the board would automatically move to the top of the screen. This made it easy to notice my turn without missing it. However, after the redesign, this function no longer works.

As a result, not only has the usability declined, but there also appears to be a malfunction in the system. I sometimes miss my turn because the board is not brought into view automatically.

I would appreciate it if you could look into this issue and restore the previous behavior or provide a fix as soon as possible.

Can you let us know some more details, this will allow us to work out what is going on.

We need to know what device and what browser you are using.

What operating system would be good as well.

A screenshot of it “not scrolled when it should be scrolled” would be great as well.

Here are the details:

Device: Mac
Browser: Google Chrome
Operating System: macOS 12.7.6

The issue occurs when it becomes my turn. Previously, the board would automatically scroll to the top of the screen, but now it does not move, and I have to scroll manually to find the board.

I have attached a screenshot showing the board not being automatically scrolled into view.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

I will provide a screenshot once I am able to capture the issue.

Thanks - since you are on a mac, it means you have a big screen, so we do need a screenshot.

Because without a screenshot, I’m not really understanding what it means “board scrolls to top”

On my Mac, the board takes up the whole left side of the screen from top to bottom and left to middle! There is no scrolling needed.

What I see in the screen shot is a picture that appears to be your home page.

Is that correct?

It is your turn in the third game.

What is supposed to happen?

What is the “auto-scroll” that is not happening?

(Apologies if this seems like a stupid question, but the missing behaviour you are asking about seem to be something I don’t use or have not seen!)

I think also, upon second look, that I can see on the right that the scroll bar is “all the way to the bottom”.

Is this a picture of “what is supposed to happen automatically, but it does not, so you scrolled down yourself”?

It would be helpful to see what it looks like “before you scrolled it, when it is supposed to scroll but it does not”.

The screenshot I sent earlier was taken after I manually scrolled down to the board.

Before the top page redesign, games where it was my turn would automatically move to the top of the screen, so no scrolling was needed.

This behavior is clearly not working as expected now.

Thanks for persisting.

Now I understand what it is that is missing for you.

I wonder whether actually it is supposed to be the case that games where it’s your turn are at the top, so scrolling is never needed
