I do not understand the rating table in my lobby.
How can I be at 1500+/- 79 points if all details are below 1500 points?
Shouldn’t it be at some kind of average?
If already discussed . please direct me to the topic.
Hints: Since the change to the new rating system I have played only 19x19 correspondance and normal timing.
I think the general ratings are calculated separately from the specific ratings, which leads to interesting results like this.
I always found that kind of strange too. One thing that just happened to me, I (16K at the time) was lucky enough to defeat a 13K player, and it was rated as a “win vs a weaker opponent.” Either something is strange or my opponent just got insulted.
