Actually I think I can, but something needs to be tweaked a little bit.
In the screenshot above (which could benefit from a nice border to differentiate it from the surrounding input form text), one can see the “2 Replies” button, but it is inactive. Clicking on that button should automatically jump to the split topic (which is a nice feature) rather than let the user click it in vain, before (s)he understands what is happening here.
