Hello, there:
I played recently this game (I was white and I won):
I am triying to review it miself, as a learning method. But as my level is low, and also because is harder to be objective with oneself, I would like other players opiniond in my review.
A foreword about my feelings during the game. I tend to get nervous fighting. Black was triying to fight all the time, and I realiced I had the upper hand there. So when reviwing, keep in mind my “bring it on” setting of mind. Also, at the end I overplayed because this opponent (I have had 4 games against him/her) tends to keep playing moves after the point were one should pass, but at my level I have sometimes lost many points because I failed to see when I should stop passing and should kill instead.
I know I almost leave black make life on the left lower corner, so I would start pointing where should I have played differently there:
I could have killed the group early in this two variations on move 15 and move 19.
Then, on move 23 (white should have made life by now) I think I could have chosen between killing the group or letting black live small and killing the two stones at C5 an D5, thah ended up building a huge wall because later on the game I did not follow the proverb “Do not pull the chart”.
I’m not adding pics, but A2 was clearly a better move than my dumb ones on 34 and 43 (let’s ignore me playing on the tiger mouth at move 30…)
If my move 76 was like this it would have spared me big trouble.
And on move 136 this was the logical way to keep fighting (though I am not sure it that would have been a good fight for me)
I also think that by move 160 I should have already invaded, and on C15 rather than my late E17 because I could have pontentially pressed against E7 later.
Move 284 was dumb (also, my surprisingly sucessful attak on line 12 got really clumsy between 260 and 264, but it is hard to analize for me because both players were playing really weird moves)
And between move 297 and 311 I left black live just because I did’t realize the move was this one
