Daylight Savings Time in the US

You might get your wish, but that’s going to mess up my pedantic riddle that I discussed above

I used to live in a state that didn’t follow DST (Indiana) it sucked.

The problem is that other states don’t know how to deal with it, and you can lose a lot of business because of confusion. Ideally no one would use DST, but until that happens, it’s best to at least have the whole country on the same schedule.

DLS is amazing in moderate / cooler areas and terrible in hot humid areas. There is no way to resolve these conflicts so that everyone in a vertical line from the equator to both poles is happy. One wants more light one wants less, and we’re all stuck in the enslaving 9-5 machine that makes literally lying about the time easier than just doing things at a different time.

Just learned a bit about time zones and DST in Australia today

Amazing :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

And that map does not even capture the whole situation, since there is a small part of Australia that unofficially uses a 45-minute offset.

And, of course, some islands, like Lord Howe and Norfolk, are not depicted in the map.
