Desktop notifications?

Hi,

When I joined this site my browser asked me if I wanted to accept desktop notifications. I’m pretty sure I answered yes, but I’ve never seen any notification.

How are the notifications supposed to work? I was under the impression that as long as my browser was open, then I would receive a notification somewhere, even if I have no OGS-tabs open. But that never happens.

Any ideas on what’s wrong?

If you clear cookies/cache, that setting will not persist.

No, I’m pretty sure you need to have a tab open…

No, I checked and notifications are allowed for ogs.
