It might even be possible to make a minimal client, like an app, or something that connects to ogs and then doesn’t have to worry as much about modifying the existing code.
People have made all sorts of apps to connect to OGS.
Ever wanted to play Go in your terminal? No? Me neither, but I’ve got you covered!
[termsuji3]
termsuji is a Go client built in Go. It lets you view your active games and play moves in them and that’s about it. I’m not sure it’ll see a lot of development, but there’s a separate api module for developers who want to give working with Go in Go a shot. If someone can use the code as a reference or starting point I might as well put it out here.
You can download the initial release here.
Hi guys! Are people still interested in an Android client? I’m asking because I’m quite far ahead in developping one but not sure how it will be received. Who should I talk to about getting permission to release it to the public? Why do you guys think so many people have failed over the years? Is it because of lack of interest from the potential users?
The app is fully native and written in Kotlin. Right now it can:

I feel like I’ve raved about this previously, but I don’t see a thread anywhere so in case not… ‘Just Go’ on Steam has a nice look and feel even if the analysis tools are not the greatest according to some people. (I am some people). Tried the OGS interface today, didn’t play but even in observe mode it’s pretty slick.
Behold : screenshots from random OGS games…

I think Tsumego dragon connected to OGS to play bots?
So I cannot get the bots to play on Tsumego Dragon. Is the API changing for good? Or is there a bug?
So it might be possible that another app adds functionality or a separate (minimal) accessible app could be made potentially.
Just throwing out some ideas, since I’m not very up to date on its progress
