In this game, me and my opponent got stuck in a loop. Eventually my opponent passed and I did the same. The scoring system treated it like a seki and I won by 3.5 points. But when I analysed the game after I realised that either one of us passing was actually a mistake as it would allow the opponent to capture the stones we were fighting over. What would the result of the game actually have been if neither of us passed? A draw by mutual agreement? Is this allowed under Japanese rules?

I’ve annulled it now.
It doesn’t happen to often, but then so many games get played, and on 9x9 it seems more frequent that it could happen (and affect the result) than other board sizes.

Ahh thank you for annulling, I just got bored and passed! Good to know the rule and that it should result in a draw
