Feature request: allow user to delete cancelled games

My game history is cluttered with cancelled games, most of them are games without any move. It would be nice if I could delete these. I don’t think that the opponent in such a game would mind that this game is also deleted from their game history.

I can understand the desire to de-clutter your game history.

A recent similar request Feature Request: Allow Users to Delete Saved Game Records throws up some snags and arguments against that would need to be overcome:

1. Delete is hard, hide is easier.
2. There may be chat in the game that is objectionable and requires moderator review and action, say you were rude to your opponent and then they cancelled, if you could delete the game you can delete the evidence of your rudeness and avoid sanctions.
3. You cancelling might be rude, the “serial canceller” problem, so being able to delete those games means prospective opponents can’t find out about such undesired behaviour.

but some annuled games are actually long and were annulled for reasons that are not “cancel” or “timeout in the beginning”

Sorry, but that idea would create two huge problems. First, it would enable “cancellation trolls,” players who cancel an inordinate number of games as a form of vandalism, to escape detection. Second, it would enable players on a vendetta, who accept and cancel open game offers by their enemy, to destroy the evidence of their misdeeds.
