My favorite Android Go app was missing from the list above^

GO DROID

Free app / ad free - allows user to play against GnuGo on 19x19, 13x13, and 9x9 games, with a difficulty slider from 15-8 kyu.

Very handy if you just want to play bot games offline.

Currently my own app :laughing: cause it has all(well 8 out of 10) the go related things I need.

5

the classic one, igowin 9x9

https://smart-games.com/igowin.html

the best for someone who just started into the game

6

There are so many others, maybe go check before opening a poll ?

you missed the classics already like goquest, IGS, Fox, KGS…

@tonybe I do like GoDroid too, it’s clear and clean, and my first app to play the game of Go when I have no computer.

@SoumyaK4 Awesome!

  • I’ll add the options
    • my own awesome app
    • “commercial, e.g. DeepZenGo, Golaxy”

@ninja_gо_fast Quite classic!

  • It’s before 2006 MonteCarloTreeSearch introduced into Go.
  • I’ll add the options
    • “classic, 1984 to 2005, e.g. igowin, GoDroid”
    • “MonteCarlo-ish, 2006 to 2015, e.g. CrazyStone, ZenithGo”

@Groin I know them all but they are

  • old fashion
  • without modern AI, e.g. LeelaZero, KataGo
  • used by particular players, e.g. IGS PandaNet for Euro, Foxwq for Asia, KGS for USA
  • no unique features

People use them just because people used to use them.

Thank you very much, I’ll check it out!
But how to edit a poll? I can not find a button to modify the poll…

I think you can’t edit after some time passes
