Hey, there. Not sure how this works, if this is not the place to post this, admins please delete. This particular thread is only intended to announce to people living in Galicia (Spain) and playing/starting with go that currently we have a group here in OGS called Galicia Go Kai. Also there is an older and more consolidated group called Go Hokusei, but they are specifically from a city, Coruña.
So with nothing else to add, I let this notice here. I don’t think the target audience of this tread will be very big, but nevertheless if the post is usefull for a single player that is more than enough.

I take it that this is the Galicia in Spain; note there’s also a region between Poland and Belarus with the same English name.

Fair enough. Yes, it is the Galicia in Spain. Thanks for the reminder, I’ll edit to clarify. I was aware of that (I find it a lovely coincidence) but I though the spelling should be slightly different. So the two names are spelled the same.

Incorrect according to wikipedia; Galicia is
a historical and geographic region spanning what is now southeastern Poland] and western Ukraine.
Especially in times like this Ukraine might strongly disagree with this.

So to clarify, your objection is not to where Galicia is said to be located, but to using “Belarus” as a reference point to it?
