I haven’t experienced it myself, but noticed I don’t get seated automatically (which means I don’t see my move)
Btw nice profile pic @Feijoa !

ah i didn’t realize i missed messages in this thread!! i’ve changed my notification settings here to “watching” so hopefully i won’t miss any more sorry to hold things up!!
No worries. I should have used the @… to begin with.
Hm… I’m not sure if this in intended but after I edit a move, it doesnt change until I refresh the page.
You should be able to change your move.
I’m afraid it’s a bit bugged at the moment.
I think I’m able to reproduce locally! will try to debug tonight. For what it’s worth, the steps I use are:
The good news (I think) is if you’re already seated at the beginning of page load, it seems like the page will work as intended.
Edit: not good news. Locally, it’s consistent as I described, but when I go to the prod site, it’s on-and-off
So you change the move and the change appears on the screen, but if you reload the page, the old move shows?
my apologies, I meant it doesn’t change until I reload the page
There’s a good chance that this is fixed now, thanks to @benjito
Please let us know if it still happens again.
At what point are moves placed on the board? Does it happen automatically after each player has submitted a move?
Yep, I think we’re waiting for some people to submit their moves.
You should be able to see your move now, and will be able to see other people’s moves once everyone has submitted.
Is there are a time limit?
Not enforced by the server (usually there’s a little clock in the seats if there is). Hopefully we can get on some cadence though.
@fuseki3, I think we may be waiting on you.
I’ll file a task to make this information available in the UI: Show who still needs to move (mainly in simultaneous variants) · Issue #302 · govariantsteam/govariants · GitHub
In past games it was not unusual for rounds to take more than 1-2 days time. If a round takes a long time, we can post a reminder on the forum.
If a player is unavailable for a longer time period (e.g. vacation), they should let everybody know, and then the game is paused until they are back.
Apologies, was a bit busy the past days ^^
