Hello from the Go Magic team!
We are launching a new service called “Get a Mentor” for our students and we would like to invite you to join us in this project.
Briefly about our offer
During the process of learning Go, our students often have questions that require individual analysis and support. We see a clear need for mentoring, for help in answering the questions “What do I need to do to improve my game?” and in developing an action plan to increase their level of play.
The essence of the “Get a Mentor” service
Students with a rating of up to 5 kyu who have purchased both a subscription and “Get a Mentor” service can submit 3 their recent games and a link to their account on the Online Go Server (OGS). In response, they will be provided with:
- Review of each game with top 5 mistakes.
- Conclusion on the strengths and weaknesses of the student’s game.
- A personalized recommendations for courses or lessons on Go Magic platform for the next month.
- Additionally, the mentor will answer the student’s questions in the chat on the platform.
Mentors are paid by the hour.
Requirements for mentors
- Minimum rank of 1 dan
- Teaching experience
- Good written English
- Familiarity with Go Magic content is appreciated (to make recommendations to use our content)
We believe that this service will help our students achieve great success in playing Go. If you would like to become one of the mentors, please fill out the application form and complete a test assignment (review two games from OGS — details are provided in the application form). We will select the best mentors to help our students become better players! We hope you will be among them!
