Green, red, green!

Green, red, green!

Green!

Soon we’ll have enough data to train a classifier. ![]()
I suggest starting from an existing go engine for pre-training.
Just not leela zero.
Is it somehow about ladders?
Rule guess: It’s white to move. White can capture a black stone in a ladder, OR escape from a ladder. I think that’s consistent with the previous koans
Bravo!
I was expecting the rule to be found out sooner, because I mentioned it in this thread before:
In retrospect the disjunction “ladder capture or ladder escape” makes the rule way too complex. I should have just stuck to ladder captures.
It can be a bit tricky to detect ladders in general

Not tricky, just slow! ![]()
Nice! without the hint that it is actually about go gameplay I would never have thought in this direction ![]()
Guess it’s my turn to be the universe again, I’ll think of a rule.
To paraphrase Sagan…
In order to become the Universe, you must first create a Zendo rule
Alright, new rule. Any size board is accepted and it does not have to be a valid go position.
Heres a green and a red koan:

Good luck and have fun!
I was thinking in the ladder direction at some point, but couldn’t put it together.
As expected, it’s not a very complicated rule, but hard to see.
Rule guess: at least one white and one black stone are touching each others,

How disappointing!
Next rule guess: In each quadrant (exluding the middle lines on odd board sizes), there are either only white or only black stones,

Rule guess: there’s a dog face shape of one color.
It’s funny, I considered that rule
But, I chose another one
