The D3 and D17 I believe is the white’s opposing 3-4 opening, and that upper left bothers me a bit, it looks like some pressure is coming from the right side, as well as on the left side to force white take a smaller upper left corner with C13.
The right side is the most curious, doesn’t look like there are contact fighting yet, still jumping and running. But some kind of cut off must have happened to force white spend so many stones on the side, and black must have a pretty good base territory on the top to balance white getting two corners already, and would make sense pushing white down to the center and on the right side. The lower right is anyone’s guess, black can have any corner enclose.
NOTE: According to the record shown here, the names are Honda Sachiko and Kobayashi Reiko. I don’t know if it’s a mistake, a pronunciation issue or I mixed different games.
Results are below, thank you all for participating, unfortunately I can’t offer any deep commentary on the game, anyone better than me please step in.
Honda Sachiko (本田 幸子), she was the sister of Sugiuchi Kazuko (née Honda Kazuko), the eldest active pro players in Japan and probably in the world at age 94 this year. And highest-ranking woman Go player and most winning records overall in Japan.
Kondo Sachiko (近藤 幸子), not familiar with her and retired before I was born.
