But he doesn’t write literature, by question 13.
Right, ok.
- Was he over age 70 when he died?
I’m thinking it may be John Conway, but I want to wait until question 20 is asked before trying to solve.
John Conway was 82 when he died…
Maybe just ask and get this over with. The pace is kind of infuriating.
- Did he die from a viral infection?
Otherwise we can do a lightning round in between?
I have a Go player in mind who won the NHK cup (additional senseis link) at least once. You get 5 questions. To prevent binary search at least a little bit, I won’t allow questions about date of birth / death, about letters in names or about how many times or when they did win the NHK Cup. Anything else is allowed
- Has he won one of the big 3?
The big 3 being Honinbo, Meijin & Kisei?
- Yes, he has.
I can’t find anywhere which three form the big three. But he has won at least one of the 3 I mentioned above
At least these three have the largest newspapers sponsoring them and thus the largest amount of prize money.
2.Does he have a OGS or KGS account
Time to eat my prawn tempura🍤 by the way should I make a guess my food thread?
- Has he won more than once?
I think this is the third question but never mind
I think the answer is simply no. What is your point?
I don’t think any winner of the NHK cup has an OGS account, for KGS I’ll have to check, but it seems unlikely since there aren’t many Japanese players on KGS… Perhaps a different question would be wiser.
- He has not won one of the big three more than once.
You just gave us a hint in your reply lmao
sorry, I meant if he won NHK cup more than once, should have been clearer
The NHK cup is a Japanese title, so, no I didn’t.
- He has not won the NHK cup more than once.
I did not know so it is a hint to me but not to you, my tempura is getting cold
Oh my! What is going on today!?
Please wait while I trim the list
