Just wondering, I see sometimes in my games, and also in the game @S_Alexander linked here https://online-go.com/game/23705397, accounts in the chat in the format of guestXXXX(?) and their account isn’t clickable. Are these people who visit a link provided to outsiders or something?

It means there is an observer who currently is not logged in to an account.
All OGS games are public (unless the challenge is made private in the match settings) and even people without an OGS account can view them. Either somebody shared the game link to friends or the player arrived by observing the games in progress tab, but as the viewer is annonymous, there is no account to link to.

I think that they don’t want to let people see there profile but they want to chat

Guest accounts can’t send messages, they can only watch the game and read the messages of others.
