Heartlandia

Once upon a time
In a land not far from mine
A place almost lost, passed over and crossed :shuffle_tracks_button: with several lines
Deals sealed in a haze of drink and smoke
But business is no joke
Handguns on the floor
Feet pointed to the door
Dog’s locked up because that’s what they asked for…
Burgers in the summer grind
5.56Ă—45mm NATO bullpup in view
Strong armed by some friend of thine
Finger on the trigger too (a look out for who? A look out for you)
Shake it off and grow a spine
A little paranoia is just fine
Because around here lack of trust is a must
Close circuit tv recording their lust
In every run down house in every single hood that’s where you find the folks not doing good
The ones with watchers
Spotters
Stick up kids and squatters
Not the kinda place you want to raise your daughters in fact anyone at all
They call it the hood
They call it the falls

This goes hard, thanks for sharing it and good luck with everything. As a wise man once told me, “If you’re going through hell… keep going”.

Goodness!

What’s happening?

Someone in a discord server claimed the reason why people join gangs in Norway is to look cool and fit in. And I told them it was most likely poverty or environmental factors. But then I figured I would just prove my point by letting them know a little about a place I used to live. So I posted it on the discord server and nobody responded. I figured more intelligent folks here would appreciate my poems more than them ^^” and I was right!

Mh… maybe there can be different reasons in Norway than in the USA?

But seriously, I have no idea.
