Why is the White group considered dead?
when in scoring mode (after 2 passes), you need to click on stones until status of groups is correct and only then click accept.

as you can see, AI do not think that status was chosen correctly

Because both black and white agreed it was dead during scoring. They were wrong.

Thanks for the replies. Using “Estimate the score” towards the end of the game had me (B) at approximately +8. My opponent accepted the captured stones before me, and I just accepted without paying too much attention (as I knew I had won). Only when reviewing the game I noticed the error - does it mean that the estimate was more accurate than the count?

Yes.
It makes sense that if both players agreed on the wrong status of the group, then this will be the result instead of the result by the estimation.
