During this game, I failed to realized how to build in Sente. After that I tried an invasion. I would appreciate an in depth review of what went on, and better ways to approach the invasion.
The wedge at move 115 was highly suspicious. You shouldn’t wedge unless you are absolutely sure that the move disconnects. Perhaps a better move would consist in attacking the shape, and make a double threat.
I was white, for sure it was suspicious. I handled it decently in my opinion. I lament not having leaned on black at White 80 to get that in sente and then jump at L14. If I had done that, that extra white stone at D13 would have made life for me easier.
You probably don’t need to invade in the first place (move 88). You could just make territory like this.
If you decide to invade, the idea of this move is wrong.
You put yourself in the position where Black peeps at D9 and you let Black go through with E9. Move D7 was a kikashi, you don’t need to save it. It can be sacrificed, and you can use it to get forcing moves.
A simpler way to reduce would be this.
On the other hand I’w wondering why you are asking a review since you won the game and were better off after the game sequence than before.
Thank you forvthe analysis, I appreciate it. Sorry about the game info!
With regards as to why i want a review: I dont necessarilly thibk that reviews are just for lost games. I thought i had dine poorly on the left hand side and wanted to understand what i couldve done differently. i liked the kikashi idea. grabbing territory seemed small compared to what black was building on the left.
