The matchmaking page does not seem to offer a way to play without time limits. Is that possible? In particular, I want to play against a bot without a time limit, but in a friendly game I would also want that.
Go to the profile page for the bot you want to play against
Click on its name
Click challenge
Unselect “ranked” if not already unselected
Choose “correspondence” and time control “none”
And you should be good to go

When I log in, I get a message “You are not playing any games.” How do I get to the profile page from there?
You can search their name in the search box and click/tap on their name which will send you to their profile page.

If both players agree to pause the game, they can play on without time limits.
