To chat / use forums (I think), you need a verified email. In order to register, you need an email address (not a verified one though).

I never used an email, at first I couldn’t chat but after a month or so I could.

you don’t need anything to use forums and in order to chat you just have to hope it forgets that you never registered an email.

I waited and procrastinated because I was terrified by the idea of playing online against strangers … but I didn’t find any other way to play Go and so, eventually, I landed on sensei’s page about servers.

Ogs was the most friendly among them. No app or client. Nice UI. A forum!!!

I tried a couple games on flyordie, maybe. Then I played only here.
The Italian go community uses mainly KGS but I can’t stand it.

One of my IRL friends suggested we play an online game, and pointed me here back in Spring of 2016. Been here ever since. Even if I’m not playing games, I’m usually viewing at least 2-3 games per day.
