I’ve also seen numerous accounts with 1837 starting: AlphaBear7 , jin.npc . And I wonder how that happens if 1500 is supposed to be the starting point.

How was 710 and 1837 determined? They seem random.

IMHO beginners shouldn’t complain to start low, it’s already wonderful that they get some rating from their very beginning. It’s often requested but not that essential when the fun of playing should prevail the estimation of a level.
All in all I dreamed of a menu like this one a few years ago and now it’s a full reality. Thanks OGS.

It’s been in for quite some time now 
I think we have less complaining about being paired with [?] these days, and less complaining about being savaged by pairing with advanced players, but that’s just qualitative.

How would you have picked them?
I imagine some criteria is:
- Representative of the 4 buckets (new, basic, intermediate, advanced)
- Doesn’t introduce a bunch of drift
But there probably is some guess work around it, and maybe correction over time.

I would do 1,000 and 2,000. I’m just curious about the number choices.
