I thought this is a chinese thing, didn’t know it was japanese as well
Music theory major student here!
Just saw this post! Fascinating!
Plz keep me in the loop when new ideas develop.
One thing on my bucket list is creating a soundtrack for a pro game, but I’d want the music to tell the story of the game.
One of Gooplets mates did this, but I don’t know if they were pro players.
I could put music to my games without too much trouble, just repeatedly and spasmodically slam my forearms onto the keyboard. Not quite the same thing though.
see the complex page here
and see if you can
I’ve listened to the beginning of Part 1, but it doesn’t seem to resemble what I’d want to do. There is a lot going on in the music at the beginning of the game, although nothing has happened yet on the board.
I doubt telling the story of a game can be done without a human yet. Does your system try to figure out the story? It’s not just about the moves that were played, but also about those that were not, and why.
for starters, there’s no ai here.
Simple page is just something for regular clueless people about music, it often gives good results, but honestly not good enough.
the complex page, is where you can manually change how every single move(or move range) sounds. so if you know some music theories, you should be able to get a good result.
I see, so I could set the mood, pace and instruments for each move, interesting. I’d probably try coming up with own music though.
