Finally wash your playpen balls. (These are only one third of ours. )
Plot twist: KAOS doesn’t even have kids
They are for quarantine stress relief
Apparently there’s an adult-only ballpit in Bristol.
With new registrations coming in at double and triple the normal rate, the mod team has plenty to stay busy. However, my personal recommendation is to read a non-go book. See Book Club and What non-Go book are you reading right now? for ideas.
Now and again I explore YouTube for recitations of favorite poems. The Listeners by Walter de la Mare has a huge number of renditions, mostly bad, but four are excellent. Two use music very effectively, as you describe. The other two, without music, are just superbly dramatic. Here they are in ascending order of excellence (IMHO): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlKgIXHETmU, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdkluBVNEEc, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X35HAvwGFoU, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0QGHT8s9pw.
I have recited this poem myself (at an office party), and it was a difficult job (I practiced every day for a week), so I really admire these performers.
So… to help us with our boredom, would you mind posting some of your mineral/rock specimens?
I will try to get that done, but not until after this is over, I’m afraid. I am mostly incompetent at IT stuff, so I will get mu daughter to photograph them and upload the photos.
Minerals, poems, Go, massive scholarly knowledge… Conrad is the grandfather everyone wants
Oh my. That’s me blushing.
You can train your stone handling.
Club organizers during lockdown.
At some point, you accept the fact that you are bored and look for solutions that could be good or could be bad to solve this problem of being bored. My TV watching has gone way up recently along with my screen time, partly because everything is online now for me, and partly because I will go online to find something to do.
Is this a moderately subtle joke where the ignorance of the thugs is illustrated by them responding with adjectives to Arnie’s request for verbs?
Here’s a colouring book made by Rock Paper Cynic: https://rockpapercynic.tumblr.com/post/613038768679731200/rpc-colouring-books
And if you’d like to do something actually useful, you can participate in citizen science, e.g. here: https://www.zooniverse.org/
(I did that a few years ago, before I had a baby, and spent many hours classifying animals in the Serengeti )
Shouldn’t the tengen points of the edge boards be the new star points though ? Whole board joseki FTW
It seems black is preparing a huge mojo on the lower right. What do you think, can white still invade here?
That’s pretty damn cool. I wanna do it but on the other hand it sounds like an endless sink of my free time I should be spending elsewhere.
