Hello,
today I received a notification that I was using AI and some of my games were annulled. I don’t know what kind of review process is used but in one of the annulled games I was behind by 40 points but my opponent just resigned and left the game (maybe he was annoyed?). In another game I had a very good early game, which I was kind of proud of, but when I reviewed it afterwards the AI also recommended quite a few “better” moves. There is no other way than starting a forum post like this to fight this kind of accusations. I’m aware that AI cheating is quite a big problem. I encountered it myself and it’s very frustrating. But having no way of pushing back on these accusations is also extremely frustrating.

Here the games in question:
This one seems strange to me, looks like a human performance:
This one you opponent probably cheated, that’s why it’s annulled:
Yeah the first one is one that I was quite proud of when I checked afterwards as my early game performance was quite good. I mean I’m using AI to review my games afterwards. So especially the early game will look more and more like AI games right? I saw an interview with Shin Jinseo where he’s talking about “chasing the blue dot (e.g. finding the AI recommendations in his own games).” So at least the early game can look a lot like AI recommendations.
Edit: I removed another example as I was mixing it up with another game.
May be there was a detection error. I have encountered this before.
Ask @MrMTal to investigate

I can see that we do need a way to “Appeal” a “Warning”, especially where annullment is involved.
This hasn’t been in place in the past because the thought process probably was “AI use → suspend account”. When your account is suspended you can appeal
However, more recently a first and final warning is common - and you’re right, there’s no good way to discuss it with the moderation team.
We’ll Do Somefink about that.
On the topic of annullment: supposing that one of your games is AI cheated … then often some or all susbequent ones will be because
- Your rank is now wrong due to AI cheating
- Likely you used it again, we just didn’t detect it.
I’ll get moderation to follow up on this particular appeal.

No, don’t do that.
Ask Moderators to investigate.
Thanks.
EDIT: Actually, don’t you get a message from the Moderator involved?
That would be the person to start with.

See it is wrong. It’s too low
I’ll get moderation to follow up on this particular appeal.
Thanks a lot. It was one of my better games in recent times so I’m a bit proud of it.

It is a warning. Sender is unknown. Something like that but with different buttons.
Ah right - it can come that way.
Edit. wait, no AI reports are not processed that way.
AI report feedback comes in a PM from the moderator processing it.
For me it was a warning window.
May be OP get PM may be not.
We’ve been working a lot on the report system - maybe there was a version where AI reports could go that route.
Nonetheless, it should be the case now that the message comes from the moderator involved.
But nonetheless, we could do with a more formal appeal system I think.
