Increase board size on Learn to play Go section

I was having a play around with the learn to play go section and I noticed the board looks quite small:

There’s a lot of empty real estate. I think it would make sense to blow it up a little.

19 x19 board is not much bigger.

On a bit of a tangent, I noticed the sound it plays when you get something correct is panned to the left channel:

As you can see above, the sound played when a mistake is made is about the same volume in both channels (red arrow) but the success sound (green arrow) is almost non-existent in the right channel.

Mh… TBH, coming from graphics design and print, I must say that I appreciate “White Space” and don’t like that urge to clutter fill all free space with text or graphic elements.

Maybe … not? And what about those with smaller screens – or even playing through this on a mobile phone?

On Android it fits nicely

Yes. Fits perfectly on a mobile phone screen.

It fits on mobile, but it looks pretty bad on Desktop, almost as if something broke. A tiny 19x19 board floating into the center, unattached to anything else.

The obvious thing would be allowing the board to expand to fit the screen, in the same way it expands when you play a game here.

I agree with the general point you’re making, but I’m not talking about adding additional text or other graphic elements, just making the board bigger.

I don’t think is much of a concern, you can make web pages display differently on mobile than they do on desktop.

Heh yeah, that learn-to-play page doesn’t really work great on desktop.. It looks ok with 120% zoom, but with <100% the side-panel starts floating too…
