Is auto handicap on tournaments broken?

The Nottingham Go Club at this link have had our January tournament but we’re not getting any handicap stones when we set the handicap to ‘auto’… is this broken? https://online-go.com/tournament/33265

Hi, did this issue ever get investigated or resolved? I wanted to use auto handicap for a tournament recently but was told that it wouldn’t work.

This is related to 13 x 13 and 9 x 9 tournaments: how would auto handicap work for large rank differences?
