is it me or is there a hard limit of 24 moves for recordable variations?
I just tried to record a ladder (yes, I still must SEE them to know how they go), and I wasn’t able to record it.
Reloaded the page, still the same … then I got an idea and tried to record a shorter part of it, and that worked, so I moved on step by step and it seems that 24 moves is the maximum recordable variation?
Now THAT’s weird … and I guess it’s not me but rather … Safari?
Or macOS?
Or is it one of my many plugins? (I have whitelisted OGS in all blockers though!)
Would be nice to find out the reason.

OK, it seems you missed the “recordable” part of this:
I’m on MacOS/Brave and I have certainly played out variations up to 100 moves long. I have also played out branches longer than 24 on iOS/Safari, I’m pretty sure. But what do you mean by “recordable”, I may be misunderstanding… what do you mean you weren’t able to record the whole ladder, but you were able to “record a shorter part of it”? Are you talking about copying and pasting branches from one review to another?
If there is a limit, it must be a fairly recent change. I have on many occasions recorded, in the “Personal” function of the game chat, a variation of 30 or more moves. I remember because i laughed at myself for recording something so long. On the other hand, it could be a limitation of the Malkovich log specifically. I don’t think I have ever tried to record something that long in a Malk log.
Interesting: Right now I tried it again in a game I’m playing, and this time I could record a ladder up to 34 moves BUT NOT MORE, in MLog as well as in Game Chat.
