Is Komi fair

I play on 9x9 and 19x19 and Komi is 5.5 on both. Is this fair. Should a smaller bord have a smaller Komi or a larger board have a larger Komi?

Please use search as this is a subject already well debated.

As a short answer there is no evidence that yhe advantage for black is corelated with the size of the board. AI estimation would put a similar komi of 6.5 or 7.5 on both sizes.

Note that standard komi on 19 on OGS is not 5.5
