Is this seki?

The scorer shows black is dead in upper right, but I thought it was seki. I think black wins if white plays, even if it is bent-four-in-the-corner. White runs out of ko threats. See review davipo vs. amybot-sdk

Can someone explain? (I was about 8k on KGS last time I played there.)
Thanks.

It’s bent four in the corner, so dead. White can eliminate ko threats before playing it out.

If Black does not respond to J8, then White follows up with J9, not H9.
Also, as someone else already added, White doesn’t even need to prepare before
forming the bent 4, since even as things stood, Black had no threats for that ko.

There should be an auto-reply to ask the OP to check about bent four whenever someone asks, “Is this seki?”

If black is plays H7 or H9 then white kills black.

If black skip move white plays H9. The only option for black is H7. Otherwise they dead. Then white plays J8. Black can try J8. But White answers H9. The next move black is dead.

Now this is a seki !

White plays G2 and J2 to prevent Ko threats for black, then starts the ko. Since white takes the ko first and black has no ko threats, white will win the ko. Black on the other hand can never start the ko.

I wonder if playing K10 will give one more point (area rule)

For theoretical aspect it’s one more stone as the Rabbity six
