Hi Kosh,

I’ve noticed that you often (and hence possibly not just a typo) write

Thankyou

Without the space between the words. Why is that? Is that a common usage for where you are from?

I say old chap, do I detect a note of pedantry?

Not just pedantry but significant observational powers to guess it’s not a typo. :+1:

I’m saving the blanks for the next time I play scrabble.

Actual answer if you're bored enough to be curious...

An early teacher of mine that I very much liked (not a language teacher!) wrote it like that and I have belligerently stuck with it to remember them by. It’s also a reminder that “correct” language is what we make it, eventually.

The words change and we change with them. :man_shrugging:

I fully agree. I don’t mean to say that it’s incorrect, but rather that I find it to be interesting and uncommon. I was wondering if maybe there was some population of English speakers somewhere in the world, where this was the widespread norm.

Will an ambassador from the Shadows also be joining the moderator team … to keep things in balance?!

O.O
