Not just pedantry but significant observational powers to guess it’s not a typo.
I’m saving the blanks for the next time I play scrabble.
An early teacher of mine that I very much liked (not a language teacher!) wrote it like that and I have belligerently stuck with it to remember them by. It’s also a reminder that “correct” language is what we make it, eventually.

I fully agree. I don’t mean to say that it’s incorrect, but rather that I find it to be interesting and uncommon. I was wondering if maybe there was some population of English speakers somewhere in the world, where this was the widespread norm.
