That sounds great!
Does this happen each year? With my “I’ll go to the European Go congress” fiasco last year, I realised that 10 days of being away might be stretching it, but a weekend (so four days with the traveling) might be feasable. This means that I am keeping my eyes open for Go tournaments like that, to aim for next year

Every year in the third weekend of March.

If you are coming from Greece I guess there are less far ( in kms) tournaments along the year

Like Marseille (nice place on an island) Grenoble (same but in mountains) maybe others in south Germany or Switzerland or Austria…

I was not aware of it at all! Thank you for sharing this

It might sound silly, but the distance from my village to the airport is more onerous (and almost equally costly - I checked just “for fun” for Nijmegen, I would need 165 euros for both flights to and from Nijmegen - similarly I’d need around 150 euros to drive to and from the airport, not to mention paying for the car park for the days I’d be away) than any chosen trip to another european country, so the destination doesn’t matter much.

It will all be a matter of “when is the best time” and if the tournament would be on a weekend.

I cannot read French. I’ll try to translate it somehow. Thank you for sharing this!

Probably other go federations have a similar calendar. And the EGC always has a weekend tournament.

I think there is an English version for the Tiggre Ellie Cup site, but I’m not sure about the Frioul tournament site.

And no worries ^^ I hope you get to attend a tournament somewhere !!
