I have 3 questions:

  1. Is it open to everyone? Do we need to be an AGA member or something?
  2. What is the cost to participate?
  3. The schedule is roughly 18:00 to 00:00 EEST, right?

Bonus question: are there any specific anticheat measures? I wouldn’t want to video myself in my house or pay a fee if I report someone to have our game checked.

Hi Gia! Thanks for asking these questions, they’re awesome.

  1. The tournament is open to anyone, all you need is an OGS account
  2. The tournament is completely free to participate .
  3. Yes, it will start at 18:00 EEST and roughly ends at 01:30 EEST

And as for the bonus, we will check games free of charge if reported, and we will also watch out for accounts that look suspicious beforehand.

On the “Tournament Rules” page, it reads:

This tournament will be round-robin: a competition in which each contestant meets every other participant, usually in turn.
Tournament system:

  • McMahon pairing
  • Players will be split into groups of 4 by level

These appear to be three completely different pairing systems: round-robin, or McMahon, or split into groups.

On the main page it also says:

Each player is guaranteed 3 games, and up to 6-7 games for all participants!

Which suggests a fourth different system, with players maybe being eliminated after playing some games.

Which one is it?
