Kouryo timing?

I noticed this byo-yomi variant on Pandanet. Never heard of it before, and couldnt find much on it online. Anyone know how it works? Specifically how does it differ from standard byo-yomi?

And is it used anywhere (any official tournaments or smth)? By the name it sounds related to Korea, but idk

The timing of the NHK cup.

Kouryo is probably just 考慮 in Japanese which just means thinking, so it means “Thinking Time”.

@joachim thats a broken link for me.

@Sadaharu Is that different from byo-yomi?

If it’s like NHK cup then it’s slightly different. The basic byo-yomi is 30 seconds, but if you exceed 30 seconds then you have up to 1 minute to think and you can use it up to 5 times. (If I’m not wrong)
