How exactly does one tie with somebody in a ladder? This is the second time I’ve noticed that I share a place with somebody else:
I just don’t really understand how this would happen. Is it when we both win against the previous #3 player at the exact same time? I don’t see how that’s possible

It’s happened on this game, too - you can see in chat: Ladder Challenge: Gooplet(#3) vs AlejandroDaz(#3)
I think it may have actually happened before and I just didn’t notice. In each occasion, I was able to challenge the person directly below me in the ladder, which normally isn’t possible, since they shared a ladder ranking with me.
What’s the deal with 3a/3b? What could cause that kind of ranking?

Wow I just realized the game I linked to in the above post is in the exact same ladder that I showed in the original post. I guess that what I didn’t realize was that after winning the previous match against AlejandroDaz, I continued to be tied with them for 3rd place? And I just ended up challenging them again.
