Lean-to-play go - first task in 3.28 (enclosure)?

Hello,

after learning the very basic rules about 2yrs ago, I did not continue, but have the ambition in this year to improve my go. Right now, I am working through the tutorials on the OGS. the first 3 riddle in 3.28 is puzzling me - setting my stone on the point 5th from the left, 3rd from below seems to be the only accepted first move and afterwards I could not find a continuation. I guess, I am missing here something - has anyone any pointers? Many thanks!

Black plays at x. Even when black cuts at D2, the stones at E3 and E4 cannot escape because of G3.

3.28.2

E2 reduces the black 3 stone chain to 2 liberties. Black cannot escape anymore.

Thanks for the quick answer - and indeed my question was re 3.28.2 - I don’t know why this looked wrong to me but makes perfect sense!
