I enjoyed some of the games from the Irish Open that were shown live here on OGS. So I posted on Gotalk, the British Go Association’s email discussion list, asking why they tend to use KGS, which I currently can’t access. It seems they would in some ways prefer to use OGS but that they like the sound facility on KGS. They said that currently only the game can appear on OGS, audio commentary is not yet possible.
Any comments anyone? Have they got that right? Is sound an option for the future? I’m not the only person to find KGS hard to use. As things are I miss out on the BGA’s online teaching too. I’d like it if that could be here too.
